AIMIM Sets Sights on Lok Sabha Elections

AIMIM Announces Plan to Contest Elections in 11 Seats

Asaduddin Owaisi Plans to Expand Party's Influence in Parliament

New Delhi, January 18, 2024: The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has announced its plans to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 11 seats. The announcement was made by AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, who has set his sights on expanding the party's influence in Parliament.

AIMIM, which currently holds five seats in the Lok Sabha, is looking to make significant gains in the 2024 elections. Owaisi stated that the party will field candidates in constituencies with a significant Muslim population, including Hyderabad, Aurangabad, Kishanganj, and Bhopal.

The party's decision to contest in multiple seats is seen as a bold move, as it will put AIMIM in direct competition with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC). Owaisi has been a vocal critic of the BJP government and has accused it of pursuing anti-Muslim policies.

The announcement of AIMIM's plans has been met with mixed reactions. Some political analysts believe that the party's decision could split the Muslim vote and benefit the BJP. However, others argue that AIMIM's presence in multiple seats could force the major parties to address the concerns of Muslim voters.
